HISTORY AND INFORMATION
The British Masters was founded in 1946 and has been sponsored by multiple companies; in it’s current incarnation it is sponsored by Quinn Insurance. Its location has changed almost as many times as its sponsor but it is now held annually on the Brabazon Course at The Belfry in Warwickshire.
Its stature within the European Tour has diminished significantly since its heyday in the 1990′s. With a prize fund of $1.8million it has become a less influential event.
