PLAYING ONLINE BINGO - IS IT AS GOOD AS THE REAL THING ?
In the real world, bingo is a social event far more than it is a gambling
game. You meet up with a few friends, have a few drinks, exchange the latest gossip and
news and all the time you have the chance of winning a few hundred (or even
thousand) dollars. Really, the game itself is just the backdrop for the
rest of it.
So how does online bingo measure up as a social event ? Surely, you can't replicate the feel of a real bingo room on the web. We set off to find out and have a little fun along the way.
The first thing to do was to sign up at a couple of bingo sites. We choose BingoHall.com, BingoLiner and PartyBingo as these had some good bonuses on offer and, in the case, of BingoLiner, 15 free cards with no deposit needed.
BINGOLINER
We started with BingoLiner and our free 15 cards. In terms of graphics, the BingoLiner
software is a cut above the rest. It's 3D and you get to pick an avatar of yourself
that you can move around the cruise ship, sit at a table and chat with other
players. We were impressed to say the least - it really does feel like you are there.
We played at BingoLiner at various different times of the day and there were always people to chat to. Plus - like the other online bingo rooms - there are chat leaders who get things going, moderate the chat and just generally keep all the players entertained. In the end, we found ourselves going back at the same time a few days in a row, just so we could meet up with some of the people we'd met previously.
The 3d graphics and the software at BingoLiner really added
to the atmosphere and there were loads of bonuses and giveaways going on for
regular chatters that the people we played with just loved. So, as a social
thing, BingoLiner really gets a thumbs up. The only downside is that the actual
bingo games seem a little forgotten about, but we didn't care much about that -
we were having fun !!!

BINGOHALL
Next Up: BingoHall. We know this is popular with visitors
to our bingo sites, so it was time to test it out properly. It's free to sign up
and once you've logged in, you can either play the Flash or Java based games
or download the bingo software. There's also ten pull tabs games, slots and video
poker available if you want a break from the bingo once in a while.
If you want to dive right in, then the Flash or Java based Bingo is probably your best bet, but we downloaded the software and logged in.
Graphically, it doesn't match up to what BingoLiner offers, but Bingo Hall more than makes up for that with the huge variety of games and patterns on offer. If you're an avid bingo player, you won't be bored here. Plus, they give away T-Shirts, free cash, extra prizes and other goodies virtually all the time. It's great and you really feel that you are part of a worldwide bingo community here.
The number of chat based games at BingoHall is huge and there is chat going on pretty much around the clock. You can also choose to fill in your cards yourself or use the 'auto dauber'. We spoke to a lot of players here who had played elsewhere and they just liked the effort that BingoHall went to a create that community feel. We have to agree - this is a nice place to play bingo online.
From a bingo playing perspective, we actually preferred this to BingoLiner as
there were more patterns and different competitions going on, but both certainly
create a friendly, socialable environment, so they're both winners in our
eyes.

PARTYBINGO
Lastly, PartyBingo. Again, there is a choice of download or no-download
bingo here. We chose the download version, which took longer than expected to
download. But once it did and we were logged in, we were impressed by the graphics.
It was also pretty busy, even at 1:45pm (GMT) on a Saturday morning. Some friendly people too. Although this one didn't take our fancy as much as BingoLinger and Bingo Hall.com, we chatted with plenty of people who wouldn't play anywhere else and had made a lot of new friends online. Certainly, the software was good-looking and easy to use, and for that, we can recommend it very highly.
I have to say that we were very impressed by the social aspect
of online bingo. It seems that these internet bingo rooms have got the balance
between playing bingo and catching up with the gossip just about right. So, if
you're wondering what internet bingo is all about, these three bingo halls are
well worth checking out. Good luck and happy chatting !
