WagerWeb : WILL LENNOX LEWIS COME OUT OF RETIREMENT IN 2004 ?
(Zapote, Costa Rica, 28 April 2004) - In all honesty, the heavyweight division in boxing is in shambles. It does not matter how many ears Mike Tyson bites off, or how many low blows Andrew Golotta will throw before he prevents a boxer from having children. Ever since undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis retired late last year, there really has been no true excitement or star in the division.
It was thought that the brothers Klitchsko, Vitali and Vladimir, were the future of the division, but with Vladimir's disgusting and embarrassing loss to Lamon Brewster recently, that fantasy is over. Evander Holyfield, at the age of 40, is still claiming to be a contender, and even 55 year-old, George Foreman, is considering a 3rd comeback to the ring. Will any of those fading superstars save the division? The short answer is no.
What will save the division is the return of the King, none other than the man many feel has been the greatest overall champion in the division since Ali, Lennox Lewis. Of course, Lewis might not have the power of Tyson, or even the stamina of Holyfield, but in his career, Lewis defeated everyone he had to on the way to his goal of unifying the heavyweight title.
At the age of 34, Lewis is still young, especially compared to Holyfield and Foreman, and his skills are far from fading. This is an important time in the division and there would be no better time for Lewis to return than now, when there is no united voice amongst the heavyweight ranks.
"Lewis simply was the best overall heavyweight of the last generation," said WagerWeb.com, Dan "The Man "Johnson. "Sure, there might have been more purely talented boxers, but when you look back at his career, it is nothing short of amazing. The division needs him badly. The real question is this; does Lewis care enough about boxing to accept the mantle to save it, at least for the time being?"

ABOUT WagerWeb
WagerWeb is a privately held, offshore, online, gaming company. It is
fully licensed and is located in beautiful San Jose, Costa Rica, a major center of online gaming.
It got into the business in a very deliberate and independent way. Nine years ago, several staffers, now management of
WagerWeb, got together to review
the state of the online gambling industry. They quickly concluded that there was extraordinary potential for success, and they also realized there was a clear
need for a professional, secure and service driven facility for the growing numbers of online players.
Characteristically, the WagerWeb planners got off to a quick start.
WagerWeb created a modest internet business that appeared to meet
the perceived need. During the intervening years since then, it has continually proved it has the right formula, because it
has grown and improved every year. Today, it is part of an expanding affiliate network that includes over fifty sports book companies.
WagerWeb now offers online and telephone sports betting, casino gambling, horse racing and Poker rooms. It specializes in propositional wagering, in fact, it appears to be setting the example and leading the way.
Behind the action and the play offered by WagerWeb is a knowledgeable and respected staff. They recognize the universal fact that players, i.e., their many guests, come first. Customer service, we are told, is more than a polite catch-phrase, it is more like a
way of life at WagerWeb. The staff continually strive to ensure the security, privacy, and quick service for all of their customers.
